I gasp, and dart in the opposite direction from my attackers, but it's no use. I have only two legs, and they have horses. They block my path, the four of them, surrounding me. Two of the men get down off their horses, both of  them a good head taller than me. These were not the same men that attacked us back at Kaci's house. Those men all wore metal knight's armor, while these guys had only leather to protect them. One of them tried to grab my arm, and instinctively I thrust my fist out to hit him. Before I know it, I'm engaged in hand-to-hand combat, and here's the kicker: I actually know how to fight. My first punch hit the first guy directly on his face, and I'm pretty sure I busted his nose. He started to bleed immidiately, and stagered backwards clutching his face. He fell to the ground in pain, but the battle was far from over. Now the second guy came at me and I swung my fist at him, but he was quick and caught it in his hand before I could do any damage. What he wasn't prepared for, however, was my leg swinging around and smacking him right in between his. Seeing that their commrades obviously needed help, the next set of men jump down off their horses and try to attack me. The guy with the broken nose isn't out for the count either, and now he's angry. He gets back up, and advances slowly towards me, the glare on his face made even more ominus by the blood that was smeared all over it. He seems to be the leader of the small group, and after a little back and forth fighting, in a joint effort the two newest attackers grab me and manage to hold me down. Then the leader took his revenge for his broken nose. I turned my face, and his blow hit me on the cheek rather than the nose. The force of it was enough to bust open my skin, however, and that seemed to satisfy him. He spat at me in an effort to show his pure hatred (which was already clearly shown on his face) before ordering the other two men to tie me up. Trust me, it took all of them to do it, too. As I struggled, the two men were having difficulties with holding me down, and the third one had to be the one to tie me down. Even with my arms and legs bound, I wasn't about to let them get away with me that easily. I struggled and fought the whole entire ride to the castle, falling off the horse three times in the process. And each time I did, the guy whose nose I broke would punch me in the stomach. Bruised, beaten, and bloody, I was starting to weaken, and by the time we finally made it to the castle, I had just about given up. When we did stop, my kidnapper threw me off the horse, so I landed roughly in the dirt. I cough as dust fills my nostrils and I can no longer breathe. He jumps off his horse and ties it up outside and then grabs me by the hair to pull me up. I try my best to hide my pain, and not give him the satisfaction of knowing that I feel like I'm dying. My body hurts most everywhere, and my lungs ache from breathing in the dirt. I'm losing blood in several different places, but somehow I still manage the strength to struggle and give them a hard time. What can I say? I'm more stubborn than a mule and I won't go down without a fight. With my legs bound, I cant walk on my own, and so two of the men get a pole and more rope and tie me up like a roasting pig. And that's just what I feel like as they carry me in like that.

I can see the gravel stone of the entranceway give way to the polished marble floors of the castle, but my body hurts too much too strain my neck to see anything else. We pass by several pairs of feet, but no one says a word to us. Not until we come to a grand doorway with two gaurds standing on either side of it.

"Inform his majesty that I have captured the great Belle Ceil, whom we have been searching for for the past five years." He told the gaurd rather proudly.

"Everyone knows how long it's been since you've captured anyone, Antony." The gaurd replied. You could tell by the tone of his voice that Antony was not one of his favorite people.

"Watch it, Marcolo." Antony replied icily. The gaurd didn't even look to see who he had really captured before opening the doors and going to tell the king.

If my lungs didn't hurt so much, I would protest that they had the wrong girl and I had never heard of this Belle person in my life. Hopefully when the king saw me he would know. He would realize that this was all a big mistake, and punish the ones responsible.

When the gaurd returns, he tells Antony to bring me in, and so Antony walks in first and tells the others to follow. You could tell Antony was a pompous man from the way he straightened out his back and puffed up his chest and stuck his nose in the air. He walked right up to the throne like he was the most important man in the room, and to himself, he probably was. "Your Majesty." He says, with a small bow. "It is my great pleasure to present to you the greatest villian in all of Europe. The last of the Great Elementals. Miss Belle Ceil." Then he turned to the side and put his arm out in a great presenting motion, stepping back so that the two men holding me could step forward. They untie me from the pole, but still hold on to me tightly. Being in the presense of a king, no matter how unfairly, I figure I'd better behave. Perhaps he'll take pity on me.

"She certainly doesn't look like much, Sanders." The king sneered, peering down at me through his glasses. "Lift your head up, girl." He demanded, "I want to see your face." I did as I was told. He examined me for a long time without saying a word.

Suddenly, I got an idea. I was supposed to be some great villian, right? Well then, I will just have to act as non-villian-like as possible. I let my fear show on my face, that much was easy, for I really was scared that they might want to kill me for whatever this person that they think I am did. Then to bring back some tears I just focused on Mikel's face in my mind, and dwelled on the fact that I'd probly never see him again.

"What is this? What is she doing?" The king demanded.

"Stop that!" Antony screamed at me, slapping my face. "You will get no sympathy from us! We all know what a monster you are!"

I cried harder, not really from the added pain, but the fact that Kaci, too, had called me a monster. Right before she banished me. Antony's words only helped to fuel my tears and make my little act all the more convincing. Now for the grand finale. It was all or nothing. "Puh-puh-please, sir!" I cried, trying to soak up as much emotion as possible in my voice. "I'm juh-juh-just a girl from the next town over. Muh-muh-my name is Fleur. I've never hurt anyone, sir!"

"Shut up, you!" Antony yelled again, and raised his hand as if to strike me.

"Stop!" The king shouted, and Antony froze immediately. "I'm very dissapointed in you, Antony." The king said. Antony turned and gave him a look of disbelief. "I really did not think that you would stoop this low. Torturing this poor child."

"But sir-" Antony could not believe what he was hearing. I had to fight the urge to smile at the dumbfounded look on his face.

"Gaurds!" The king yelled. The same gaurd who had let us in came running. "Untie this girl and take her to get washed up. And get her out of that filthy old dress. Have her try on something on Anabell's, and if that doesn't work, send our best seemstress to start work on something immediately. Is that understood?"

"Yes, your majesty." The gaurd answered. Then he gave Antony a look that clearly said he was the better man now. It was obvious that there was some sort of old rivalry going on between the two of them.

"I must apologize deeply, my dear child. My servents will make sure that you are fixed up and sent home safely as soon as possible." He told me kindly.

I sniffled and looked up at him graciously. The grattitute in my face was one thing that I did not have to fake. "Thuh-thank you, your Majesty." I said, with a slight curtsy. Well, as good one as I could manage given the circumstances. Then the gaurd came and untied me and took me away into the rest of the castle.
wow, that was a close one...

I like how antony was able to take her to the king only to be forced to free her. When she came up with the idea to act "non villian" this idea worked could she have had a power that made the king say what she wanted? It was the 2nd best chapter thus far. Very good direction and plt twist in this chapter yet again. I cant wait to see what happens in the next chapter! Will the king still be a friend or foe? And whats next between her and antony? we will find out in the next chapter am sure! Good reading and awsome writings my friend ^_^ keep up the good work kat1!
