Disney Doctors

Finally done with my Doctor Who project I've been working on! So, I was bored one day and I wanted to draw something, but I wanted to challenge myself by drawing something that I don't usually draw. So I thought, I know! I'll draw all the doctors. But just drawing the doctors as they are would be boring, and not very creative. So I thought, what's the wildest thing I can mix with Doctor Who to get a crazy creative and fun result that I'm sure no one has done before? Why, the Disney Princesses, of course! So, about 3 weeks and a thousand reference pictures later, I'm proud to present: The Disney Doctors. Even if you're not a fan of Doctor Who, I'm hoping this will still make you smile. If you laughed when you saw this, my job is complete.

1. William Hartnell / Snow White.
The one who started it all. The very first Doctor. I wish all the episodes were still around so that I could see more of the original doctors. People never give them enough credit. If it weren't for William Hartnell, there would be no Doctor Who. Now, about Snow White.. She's a character I've rarely drawn. After several reference photos, the dress came out pretty good, but I still think his left arm looks a little weird.

2. Patrick Troughton / Cinderella.
Not much to say on this one. I think I could've made the dress a bit longer, but other than that, it's all good. Cinderella was never really one of my favorites. As a child, I disliked the princesses who were blonde simply because I wasn't. I loved Belle and Jasmine best because they both had dark hair like me.

3. Jon Pertwee / Aurora.
You're probably thinking that this looks nothing like Aurora's dress, but I have a reason for that. I've always loved the part in Sleeping Beauty where they're like "Make it pink!" "Make it blue!" and the dress keeps changing colors. (About the only part of that movie I like) So I decided, why not make it both? ^_^

4. Tom Baker / Ariel.
One of my favorite princesses. Gotta love that red hair! (Unfortunately no red hair for Tom Baker, lol. I thought that might be a bit too much. Besides, as any Whovian knows, The Doctor has never been ginger ^_^) I actually started to draw legs for him, thinking I could do Ariel's pink dress that she wears in her human form, but then I thought, Nahh it will be so much funnier to see him as a mermaid. Or, merman, I guess I should say. lol.

5. Peter Davison / Belle.
Belle will always be one of my favorite princesses because she's a bookworm, like me ^_^ I debated for a while between her plain blue & white dress and the fancy yellow one, and decided that the more frilly and foofy it was the funnier it would be. So obviously I chose the yellow one

6. Colin Baker / Jasmine.
Jasmine is another one of my favorite princesses. I've drawn her alot, so I didn't really need a reference for her clothes. I really loved Colin Baker's face in the reference picture I found because it looked like he was standing tall and proud even though he was dressed like a princess.

7. Sylvester McCoy / Pocahontas.
If you're wondering why I hid him in the back so you can't see his arms it's because I think his one arm looks kind of strange, and anyone who knows me knows I'm horrible at drawing hands so I try to avoid drawing them as best I can, lol.

?. John Hurt / Kida.
This is the only doctor I specifically placed with a certain Disney princess. I really wanted to make John Hurt the odd man out since no one ever counts him as a doctor. Kida is a Disney princess that no one ever counts either, so I thought they'd fit well together.

8. Paul McGann / Esmerelda.
Not a Disney princess, and someone I'm pretty sure I've only drawn once before. Not that I don't like her, I just haven't thought about it. When I tried once a long time ago, she came out horrible, and I haven't drawn her since. That said, I think this turned out pretty well. If you look closely at those gold coin things hanging off of his skirt, you'll see I added the "DW" logo for Doctor Who ^_^

9. Christopher Eccleston / Mulan.
Some people were probably looking at this one thinking, who is that supposed to be? That's ok, I didn't know what to draw for her either. I'm not a big fan of Mulan, she's another character that I've only drawn once before. It always annoys me that they include her with the Disney princesses when she is not a princess. Anyway, it took me a while to find a good picture of the outfit that she wears before she runs off pretending to be a boy. Because putting Christopher Eccleston in an outfit that was actually made for a man would be no fun. lol.

10. David Tennant / Tiana.
David Tennant will always be my favorite doctor. Likewise, Tiana is special to me because she's the first black princess, and when the movie first came out, my mum took me to the Disney Studios to see it premiere 9 days before everyone else. It was pretty epic. Unfortunately, there are no dark-skinned doctors to match up with Tiana, but hey, Tennant looks good in anything, so that's alright. ^_^

11. Matt Smith / Rapunzel.
I thought it would be fun to have Matt Smith be the only one to be happy about putting on a dress. I can just see him running around like, "Isn't this fun?" and making the best of it. I thought about giving him long hair and saying he found a wig or something, but none of the other doctor's hair was different so I kept his the same. Otherwise it would have drove me mad that he was the only one with "princess hair" lol. Maybe next time You might have noticed I have alot of favorites when it comes to princesses, and Rapunzel is definately one of them. Even though she's blonde, she's still got an awesome personality and I just love the movie Tangled so much!

12. Peter Capaldi / Merida.
Last but certainly not least is the newest doctor, Peter Capaldi. I haven't seen him as The Doctor yet, so I can't really judge whether or not I like him. My first thoughts were, "Wow, he's old!" Not that that's a bad thing, the first doctor was ancient looking already when he started, it was just unexpected. Anyway, Merida is probably my favorite princess at the moment. Everyone knows I love red hair, and that girl has a ton of it! lol.
